Little Dot's Baby Signs

It's a fact that babies learn quickly and are eager to interact with those around them.   It's also a fact that babies can physically communicate long before they can speak.

By giving your child a visual language, you create a way to communicate with your child more effectively before their speech develops.   For deaf children, or hearing children with deaf parents, sign language is essential for the relationship between parent and child but hearing children can also benefit by being able to express themselves early on.

Children's activity days

Lots of fun and games for deaf and hearing children, creating a wonderful environment in which the children can play and learn about each other. These days are run three to four times a year and are ideally suited to children between the ages of five and 10.  For more information contact DMCC.

Deaf Awareness Training

We can provide fun and participative training to companies and organisations that may come into contact with deaf people or have a deaf employee. The training includes communications methods, hearing equipment, basic signs and some dos and don'ts when communicating with deaf people.  We can also provide deaf awareness training for children's groups such as the Guides and Scouts.

Dorothy Miles Arts Programme

An evolving programme of arts activities in which deaf and hearing people can work together and learn from one another.
